What Sets the Kroma R Apart

A no-nonsense, reliable mod

The Kroma R is the third model in the Kroma line and the first to use a removable 18650 battery. It takes a straightforward approach, with a solid body and a clear display, and has been described as a classy, dependable device rather than a flashy one.

Tank flexibility

Because it uses a standard 510 thread and a wide resistance range, the Kroma R works with many tanks. The Zlide pairing is particularly well regarded for MTL vaping, while the Ajax version suits customers who want a sub-ohm experience.

Innokin is a long-established brand with a strong following among UK vapers, which makes the Kroma R easy to recommend and quick to explain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Innokin Kroma R Vape Kit?

The Innokin Kroma R is a single-18650 box mod and tank kit with an output of 5–80W, a 510 connection and a zinc-alloy body. It has been offered with the Zlide MTL tank or the Ajax sub-ohm tank, and the UK tank holds 2ml to meet TPD rules. Batteries are not included.

Are batteries included with the Kroma R?

No. The Kroma R takes a single 18650 battery, sold separately. Customers should buy a high-drain cell from a reputable supplier, check it for damage and charge it only with a suitable charger. Cells should never be carried loose in a pocket with keys or coins.

What is the difference between the Zlide and Ajax versions?

The Zlide version comes with a tank designed for mouth-to-lung vaping, which gives a tighter draw that suits nic salts. The Ajax version comes with a sub-ohm tank for direct-to-lung vaping, which suits lower-strength freebase and shortfill liquids. Check the packaging to see which tank your kit includes.

Is the Kroma R good for beginners?

The Kroma R is better suited to experienced vapers than to complete beginners. It uses a removable battery and adjustable wattage, both of which need some knowledge to use safely. New vapers are usually better served by a simple pod kit, with a mod like this as a later step.

What e-liquid should I use in the Kroma R?

It depends on the tank. With the Zlide MTL tank, nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids work well. With the Ajax sub-ohm tank, use freebase liquids with a higher VG content at low nicotine strengths, such as 3mg or 6mg. High-strength nic salts are not recommended at higher power, as the vapour would feel harsh.

Is the Innokin Kroma R legal in the UK?

Yes. The Innokin Kroma R is legal to sell and buy in the UK for adults aged 18 and over. The UK version uses a 2ml tank, within the limit set by TPD regulations for nicotine-containing products. Retailers must carry out age verification on every sale of vaping devices and e-liquids.

How do I dispose of the device and battery?

Used 18650 batteries and the mod must not go in your household bin. Take them to an electrical or battery recycling point, such as those at many supermarkets and council sites. Empty any remaining e-liquid from used coils and tanks first, then dispose of them in line with your local council's guidance.
